Wasn't being blocked by our Smoothie, must be some filter SWGFL have in place. They didn't seem too bothered we couldn't unblock it.

Not this week I know, but this is a request we had a few years ago.

"The PA system at the local swimming pool is broken. Is there any chance the IT helpdesk can come and fix it".

By the way this swimming pool is local authority and nothing to do with us!!!!

I have had an email today from a teacher asking me to email some certificates that I setup in 2009 (apparently)

    a) I am part time and don't have remote access
    b) 5 years ago?!!!!
    c) There is a folder in the Staff share called Certificates... logically, it's where I would have put them.... but clearly it's not logical to look there!

I'm being thrown out of my office and I've been tasked with getting prices on infrastructure and furniture that I'll need when I'm sharing with 2 others

Needless to say I won't be doing it

    I had the other day....

    'What are you doing?'

I replied working on a laptop,

The teacher said 'oh I thought you just sat at your desk waiting for calls'

I then said 'yeah I also work too whilst waiting, what would you like me to do'

got a reply of 'ok, just need a hand with moving chairs'

Politely told them to ask someone else as the laptop was due back asap.

Hope you said no, it doesn't have a plug, so it's not your responsibility!

I've currently lost a technician to the task of walking around the school looking for things which are broken so the head can apply for grants to fix them.

It's worth while don't get me wrong, but I don't understand why it needs a media technician with a film technology degree and a 2 grand camera to take pictures of frayed carpet and broken guttering.
