I get to spend the day troubleshooting a problem with the ECDL testing site they use here. Just worked out (after much pain and anguish) that running a join.me session seems to stop the error, which is why the remote support have never been able to replicate it. Bloody marvellous!
Seriously, though, I have reimaged this entire room, with a brand new image, up to date & identical drivers, software and updates across the room, and somehow, SOMEHOW, the same half dozen machines still display the same intermittent and random issue. How is that even possible? Am I being trolled by motherboards here?
No :P Not a single logon... But knowing my luck I'd have half the school trying to connect if I did take it down and angry letters from parents :PYour students have a day off... and are still working?!
Glad to see some have the easy day, most of our staff are in only about 10 are not and with a 200 staff site thats impressive.
Staff are already on the case of "I have an easy day what can i complain about", luckily enough I am a multi tasker - sorting out a laptop, frog work and our external site have realised their software isnt working.
I'm spending the day with my daughter (she is currently watching a DVD which gives me a bit of time on the laptop) after this its time for a walk.
Just like every other unemployment day really!
I've got to clean 50 odd projectors with my collegue today. Exciting stuff!!
annoyingly all my staff are in...damn private sector -fussin, russin,
Tidying my office and re-organising said office. About a dozen staff in here.
we are sorting out our next weee load, binning off a load of old product boxes and generally being visited by the ghost of networks past.
Sun is out, birds are chirping, traffic is non-existant, loving it. Even though the phones and water momentarily joined Unison.
Not a single print credit request either so far. Can we get Unison to do this more often?
Y11 mocks. And only 1 pupil in as mum is part of SLT,
Got a few odd jobs done that i can only do after school. music in office where i am now
I have cleaned the office done a few bits and bobs and now doing next to nothing
(*cough*looking online for Christmas presents*sneeze* )
PC fixed, classroom sorted, DVD drive changed... lunch eaten, chatted loads! Oh and its now afternoon.
Back in June we left at 3.10, school finishing time, however we only got the email 20 minutes before, lets hope a similar email appears again.
Well I'm halfway through re-imageing the suite.
As usual one of the computers (identical to all the rest) will not play ball - when I run ghost - I get garbage about not being to find the drivers - but apart from that - all going well
