I haven't seen an increase of spam in my inbox and since this one goes to only a few places outside of work, I can't see any sign it's been compromised in the hack. In fact, when Steam was hacked at the same time I was pretty confident both sites had handled it well. They know to encrypt and salt passwords giving us plenty of time to change them before they are broken.

Given this site is well known by Steam forum users thanks to the compatability mode thread and both use vBulletin, no surprise EG became a target.

How do you think @Dos_Box and @ZeroHour would feel if they had this to contend with??

I chose not to use it.

I use too many, and most of them people don't get.

Did Edugeek ever get back with details of the hacking or anything?

@SYNACK posted some brief details about it after I raised the question in a different thread somewhere. I will see if I can find the post.

He hung aroud for a bit before messing with the system. The possibility of a full breach was limited given the level of the exploitation and the limits on data transfer imposed by PHP timeouts on the server at the time meaning that it was unlikely they were able to dump the user table or anything like that.
