Problem is, they twist the facts so often (someone I know was in the paper and was described, disparagingly, as a Hungarian (a foreigner, y'know) when not only is he British, but has been for 30 years and was originally Canadian, born of Hungarian and Latvian parents) that it is difficult to register that they do have some valid points to make occasionally.

15th November 2011, 12:27 PM #17 I'd be interested to hear if there were any "Outraged viewers" who "were left furious". Because I watched the episode and wasn't outraged or furious.
I thought the previous 9/11 joke was closer to the bone in the episode where Brian and Peter travel back in time with Death and Brian picks a fight with a guy and arranges to meet him at 9am on 9/11 on the roof of the WTC to have a fight.

15th November 2011, 12:30 PM #18 Family guy has done much more close to the bone stuff, ridiculing cancer/dead babies/aids and much much more, if you watch family guy you know what to expect...they will poke fun at ANYTHING

Not as good as "Everyone has AIDs" from Team America.

Prom night, not premature.
But seriously, this is an adult cartoon. And if people don't like it, the can go do one.

15th November 2011, 12:45 PM #23 To me the story is as ridiculous as saying
"Hitler hated all jews and wanted them dead" and the headline being
Man wants all jews dead in sick Hitler tribute
If you are not going to keep things in context then it's stupid even reporting on it

That's not really out of context, though. that's wild misrepresentation of facts.
Out of context would be like the time I was talking about how I hate Dwarves [in Dragon Age: Origins] being quoted as simply "I hate Dwarves" without explaining that I mean the fantasy race and not people with Dwarfism.

Although, I am unable to attend on Thursdays. I will have to respectfully decline the position.

15th November 2011, 01:22 PM #29 Ridiculous, the Daily Fail do indeed need silencing.
Let's face it. It's a highly theoretical and unlikely situation but:
Put yourself in their situation. Not the Daily Mail. I mean Brian and Stewie. Or maybe Marty McFly. If you bugger up history, you best try hard to put it right. And frankly, in the interest of causality you would HAVE to make sure 9/11 happened. But let's face it, it's not reality. It's a cartoon.
Or, let's do it properly. Forget the above. If you COULD travel back in time, you'd just make damned sure EVERYTHING is how it should be with the exception that the Daily Mail never, ever starts.

Paradox.
If the Daily Fail doesn't exist, you aren't aware of it needing to be stopped in the past.
If you don't stop it, it forms. Needing you to stop it.
