17th October 2011, 08:59 AM #1 So using a PS3 without any hands
The title says it all, I have been given a challenge to find a way that guy who is Tetraplegic (Paralysed from the shoulders down) can play his PS3, He can move his head but that's it.
He has a laptop, a PS3, voice recognition software, a camera, so my question is would it be possible to get this all setup so that he could use a PS3 also how would I get around the L1, L2, L3, R1, R2, R3 buttons?
Any Ideas appreciated.

If he already has hardware that allows him to use a computer, then maybe you could write a small program to map keyboard to PS3 controls and send the relevant signal out over USB/Serial (it used to be relatively simple with older consoles, not sure about the PS3 though...)
There's a guy named Ben Heck who has done a few things like this, might be worth contacting him: The Official Blog of Benjamin J Heckendorn
EDIT: this project might be useful too: http://code.google.com/p/open-rp/
