Ben

I'm either an Ale or a Cider drinker. Luckily my local have lots of local and guest beers as well as three good ciders. Stroud Budding is my go to pint, this weekend also had a few Adnams American IPAs, very nice. Cider wise Adlestons cloudy is lovely, but can lead to crazy
occurring so I tend to stick to Aspell's.

17th October 2011, 10:00 AM #48 I once waded through a pack of these given as a present until:
A) I found out how much they were a bottle
B) I was too drunk to care
C) I passed out with my head on my computer keyboard. My Facebook status read:

They no longer do that here either (well apart from the little 370mL bottles that are parallel imported by corner shops sometimes.

Personally, I like all the drinks that are worst for a hangover. An evening will start with real ale (Bateman's is best, and just down the road from me, but Badger always works well for me as well) and progress to red wine (Italy or Chile, preferably) before progressing onto single malt, currently a 12 year old Glenlivet (and an 18 year old of the same tucked away safely). My head the next morning is often brutal
For all of you drinking ale: get home brewing. You'll break even on your first batch even with buying all the kit (about £50 all told, roughly). After that, you'll pay £10 for the kit and it'll get you 40 pints. And it is approximately as easy as making cheese on toast. Do it!
