hehe I was a little extravagant at the start of the year and bought one of the new 600gb Intel SSDs. No real need for big CPUs these days of excessive ram.

Yeh its about 6 or 700 quid for that SSD but to be honest I've bought printers that expensive and I take my storage seriously

We have 40gb SSDs in every other machine in school so I reckon I deserve the larger one

Ouch, we just spent 16K putting us 4K over budget.
Not forgetting purchased about 60+PCs, 40+Laptops, Frog (plus all trimmings), Going to be an Academy soon as well. Add our new Wireless for a few blocks too, cost us about 15K. Money Money Money!

We also purchased 3 new servers in the last 8 months, joined the MS scheme of 10K a year for all software/licenses.

Jesus ! We spent that much!!!....... OUCH!

Cough, just bought 2 of i7 2nd gen, 16Gb RAM, 64bit W7, SSD + 1TB 7200rpm, dual head graphics attached to 2 rather lovely 24" monitors for myself and my PFY
To say they've made a big improvement on our productivity is an understatement, plus we've stopped getting complaints about us shouting abusive language at our 6 year old pieces of junk...

From next year our ICT budget is going to be capped at 10k per year for new equipment and 1.5k a year for repairs.

    400 PCs ~1000 users.

We need to replace ~200 pcs ASAP as they are 6 years old..

I don't know why I bother getting out of bed, frankly.
