BT vision PRV

Does anyone on here own one of these?

A mate of mine is having no end of problems with hers. The main problem been, it hangs randomly.

Was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem, if so, what you done to resolve it. I still think a firmware upgrade might help, but cant find one anywhere.

I looked at this the other day but considering how unreliable my bt connection is, the net phone is therefore useless and this tv set up will be too. The router bombs every other day and the speed varies wildly on the "service". The drop outs will probably be the crap connection.

I hate BT... Actually, I hate ADSL. I wish I was back in a cable area.

So far as updates go, all BT equipment I have auto update. That includes the phones and router maybe the V+ box is the same?

I found out that both her parents work for BT and they cant get anywhere with it
