hi folks,
not sure if this has been discussed before... but....
I would be interested to know what sort of holiday entitlement you folks have?
It's a bit scrooge like here. We get a whopping 4 weeks per year for the first 2 years, then on to 5 weeks, and 6 weeks after 5 years.
Considering the teachers get somewhere in the order of 18 weeks per year off!!! It's almost criminal that we have to site around for 8 weeks in the Summer.

I'm full time, so I get my 27 or whatever it is days.
Just get 22 days a year here.

If work for LEA as minimum I think you should get 4 weeks plus banks hols and few other days as I am sure it is in the green book..
Then after 5 years get extra 5 days..

Edit:
Sorry That Should be 22 days and not 4 weeks.
27 days to start with going up to 31 days after four years service.
i'm full time and get 22 days plus bank holidays so thats 27 in total!
and i've been doing this nearly 2 years now
I have all the school holidays off, more or less. I have to work 15 days out of term time.
But... my pay is "pro-rata", as opposed to teachers pay!

I'm term time plus 4 weeks, 1 of which is training days the other 3 are for use during the school holidays.

I'm term time at the moment so get all the regular school holidays.

On side note if term time only still get holiday but a pro-rate rate and to avoid issues what you get is a contract that says your paid for so many hours per year but you only need to work X amount per year.

4 weeks only here, but I get time in lieu.
30 days annual leave + 7 compulsory days. However my boss never keeps note of my days off and as yet hasn't even bothered giving me a leave sheet for this year so he probably hasn't any idea how many I've been off..
