Todays Edugeek Conference

I would like to say a big thank you to all of the people who made today such a success, so Russ, Tony and eveyone else who had a hand in organising the event a big thank you from both Ric and I, it made our 180 mile journey worthwhile.
For those of you who missed this one, it is hoped to get another organised in the north of England in the first half of next year with, hopefully, a range of speakers as good as the ones we had today. I shall put up a few piccies as soon as I get a full nights sleep (I'm too old for 4am starts!!)

Heartily seconded! Even though it was only a 40 mile round trip for me.

BTW I was the bloke who looked like a CAMRA member (middle aged, bearded and fat) - so doubly upset I couldn't make the pub afterwards ...

but on serious note i wont do anything this week apart from odd talk with people and then next week i will get back into planning for next year.

As dos_box has said the next one in will be in approx 6 monthd time and based up north so where..

Then we will repeat a conference back down here 6 months after that...

But we do need your help so if anyone does want to get involved in helping with it please pm...

ok here is results of survey had in.

just wanted to address some issues raised

as in previous thread all presentations are on site but should of said that on the day have emailed that person direct to point them in right direction.

also were planning on having them printed but we were on tight deadline and so couldn't get them all printed and felt it was not fair to include some and not others.

comments about length and networking time yes we take on board i thin it will stay as one day conference as but make last longer but who knows.

also we were going to have talk on windows deployment but person who was going to do it couldn't and steve rochford stood in last minute and that also explains why session was bit short.

Linux based thing well while ii agree there was two talks compared to rest on Linux but have to go with what we can get people to talk about.

But if noticed we covered every major os, windows, mac, linux.

The becta technician accreditation there isn't anything well i lie at moment as far as aware there is one course being piloted with lgfl...

but talks yesterday might mean that training materials and maybe something with lgfl if they want to get involved might appear i will leave it at that until various parties have talked about it more so watch this space

Very frustrated i couldn't make the pub afterwards [left my money at home!] - can we have video/audio/still footage of that please? :P
