I smell a lawsuit from Twitter...
TwitPic founder tries to pull rug from under Twitter ? The Register.
Which seems to say TwitPic was a happy little concern and then Twitter decided to add that functionality - so TwitPic added 'twitter' functionality.
Third result for 'Heello' gives me this:
Would the internet explode if someone put Twitter on Heello?Heello (Heello) on Twitter
twitter.com/HEELLO - CachedHeello (Heello) is on Twitter.
Sign up for Twitter to follow Heello (Heello) and get their latest updates.
That may be the point of some people's twitter/FB feeds....but I have had slightly differing experiences!
Over the past 6 months, I have had tickets bought for me, by season ticket holders, to football games....to ensure I get them! I've also had tickets for a top-rated TV show, and am getting more as well (Gold VIP tickets....None of your shabby audience tickets for me!!!).
I've found long lost friends.
I've had bitter arguments.
All because of Twitter and FB.
It's not ALL about what you had for lunch...but if some people CHOOSE to put that up, then unfollow/unfriend! I like the fact that it keeps me in touch with like-minded individuals (Mainly fellow QPR fans!!)
Twitter got me a mention on the radio today after posting I am alone in my office and listening to them. That made my day.
Not sure there is room for a Twitter clone though. Unlike FB and Google+, there isn't the whole "FB is evil" attitude with Twitter as they don't make their revenue streams blatantly obvious and intrusive.
I do see your point and don't get me wrong if you are getting on well with it great, please disregard my comments which are only from my personal experience. Especially with Gold Tickets!
Bitter arguments I can have with my colleagues in the office Friends and I mean real friends, I have stayed and do continue to stay in touch with anyway.
Point taken though!
I just think that day by day people are taking the onus from themselves and instead are more interested in what everyone else is up to. How does that benefit anyone in the long wrong........
An increasingly sceptical across the board Chris
I do agree that there is far too much "what i had for dinner" type tweets, but I tend to steer clear of those. (Though I have been known to announce the imminent opening of a bottle of wine!) As I say, the ability to find people that you may not have seen for 20 years is invaluable....For instance, my ex was able to trace 3/4 people that i hadn't seen for 25 years to come to my 40th (2 years ago!). Without that kind of social networking, I probably still wouldn't know where they were!
It still amazes me, to this day, that there are 360+ people who want to read my tweets! And even more so, when someone famous follows me.....Is that just me that wonders about that?
(Talking of which.....I'm now being followed on G+ by Graham Linehan.....Anyone who doesn't know who he is....well...I'd be amazed, on here of all places!)
I have a confession -
Chris was officially 'Geek-Jacked' yesterday....and yes...we all found it hilarious (all but Chris) he absolutely HATES Liverpool.
Us Lycanthropes care not for Football
I use Twitter every now and then...even had lord sugar as a follower for about a week. I don't broadcast much on Facebook or on Twitter, I mainly use both just to see what people are upto.
Heello.....is it me you're looking for!
