Yoga on the Wii fit. My sister in law always had a bit of a belly until she did that.6 months down the line she has a flat tummy now (she went from women's size 18 to 12 in 6 months)

Cycle and run three to four times a week. Gradually build up your distance so as not to cause injury. The weight will drop off.

The best way to start IMHO is to start eating healthily. make sure you cut out any bad foods and try to stay away from calorie intensive alcohol (spirits are much better than beer/cider/alcopops etc.)

With the weights, try doing sit-ups it will increase the core muscles which will help with the flat stomach.

Remember to balance the workout you do, don't solely concentrate on one area as you may end up looking more out of shape.

if you're an iDevice user (and I think android) there are some fantastic apps that can help

You burn more fat doing compound exercises than regular cardio workouts so I'd suggest having a look at Olympic lifts as they've done a killer job on my physique. Also throw into the mix cardio as a supplement and my personal favourites, kettle bell exercises.

If there's a shower at work, try running in once your fitness is up a bit and you're comfortable doing it. Even walking in will help (actually it'll help more than cycling).

I have posted about this site:

Link: GAIN Fitness - Personal Trainer Quality Workouts

before, both here and on another forum. The reaction to my post on the other site was somewhat hostile saying that the site gave bad fitness advice. Have a look yourself or get a friend whose opinion you value to tell you what they think. It claims to be able to ask you what your targets are and build a fitness regime around those targets for you.

    Following the Quick Workout link:

Setting exercise session duration at 35 mins, Fitness goal: Fat Loss and Body Focus: Legs and Abs. Click the 'Build Workout ' button and we get:

[more exercises of screen not captured by screenshot]

To get more out of the site sign up is required but you can get these routines out of it without sign up.
