These people almost died so people like YOU, ME & THEM who post on this web site can do so in an open and free manner.
Surely they fought for the right for people to vote for whoever they damn well want without people saying they are racist or what not because others don't agree with thier politics?

My Grandad fought in WW2 and he would vote BNP if he could be bothered to vote (He is a Chelsea Pensioner by the way as well). Most people hate the way this country isbeing destroyed.
I second that - my partner's dad fought in WW2 and would also have voted BNP if he were still alive today.

WW2 was fought for the right to freedom and to ensure the right to vote was protected - well we are now using that vote, and if people wish to vote BNP then that is their right.

Really? Id say that far right still essentially describes them.

Bear in mind as well whoever said think locally not nationally, that is what I am doing. A local BNP candidate had an interview in the paper. He was quoted as saying he was pleased there was only a small percentage of ethnic minorities in the area and when asked if the area would be better with less the answer was yes.
To me that is racist and I would be sickened if someone with that thinking got into power even locally.
I'm sorry but Racism does not equal Right Wing, as much as the Guardian would love to make you believe it so.

Stalin killed alot of ethnic groups as did the Turkish empire (the genocide of the Armenians for instance), both of which were dictatorships, but they weren't Far Right.

I'm not supporting the BNP (as i've already stated they are mental cases) however I do not like how people are so easily lead by tabloids. If the Guardian said "BNP are Right Wing Facists" people wouldn't vote for them, however if they said "BNP are Left Wing" (which they are) you'd get a load of left wing fools and student communists voting for them, because they want to believe that people like Joseph Stalin, Ernesto "Che" Guevara and Fidel Castro were beautiful people who did no wrong and gave flowers to puppies.

Just because you want to kill all people with a different skin tone doesn't make you a far right politician, yes they are authoritarian (like most dictators, the labour party, conservative party etc etc) but their policies are very left wing. In fact the only people further to the Left than the BNP are the Green Party, and that's because most of them are stoned off their faces *.

As for people turning Racist, my friend was a complete hippy anti-racist and a member of the anti-nazi league when she was in Wales in an all white area. 3 years of living amongst other races in Bristol has made her the most racist person I know (deliberate racist as opposed to old men who still say 'coon' because thats what they were brought up with) because she has seen what these people are actually like and has realised that most of the stereotypes are actually true.

(*just an assumption, not based on evidence etc etc and other back covering measures*)

    What crap.

I've lived in Bradford for 25 years and I can safely say that you get nobheads of all races and ages. You also get great people of all races and ages.

Turn over enough stones and you'll find s**t but if it's found under the first one it doesn't mean it's under them all.

Next people will be saying that all tall people like a certain colour of clothes, or that all short people despise ice cream.

Of course you will, I know a lot of caucasian people who are complete scum (the whole 'chav' thing at the moment for a start)

Just to reiterate my point, just because I am trying to explain the BNP to blinkered people doesnt make me a BNP voter or a racist, I have nothing against people of other skin, but then I have limited experiance as I do not live in an area where there is alot of mixed races, however those I know are hard working average people, usually of higher intelligence than most of the caucasians surrounding them. The thing is, stereotypes exist for a reason, usually there are enough people of that type that cause the stereotype to stick. for instance, most people think all lawyer are scum bottom feeders out for themselves, however not all of them are like that. 99% of lawyers just give the 1% a bad name

short people don't despise ice cream, its just that they can't see over the counter to know that there is ice cream available, and tall people don't just like brown, it's just that top shop only sells trousers; long enough for tall people, in brown. :P

    lol Fair enough then.

To be honest I do see a big difference in the ethics of different generations, but that's not limited to race either.

If BNP ever got in power I'd likely move country. My girlfriend (of 5 years and counting) is Chinese and they would likely try to send her back over there. With their 'England is for English' mentality it would actually break up a lot of families/couples and actually damage our economy.

Trying to split the vote I would imagine. Nasty lot - best to steer well clear of them.

    Disease said:

Actually - I am not saying that they are racist - they are saying it themselves.

And Jake - why have the last 10 years made you racist? After all, a great deal of immigration is by people who are the same race as the majority of the British people

Those of you who are going to vote for the BNP locally - would you vote for them nationally?
A party who will scrutinise your ethnic background and decide where you fit in the pecking order depending on your antecedents.
How long does it take to be regarded as British? 2 generations, 3, 4?
If you were born here, you are a Brit and that is all there is to it.
I have seen BNP aggressively targeting black people when there were whites from France and Italy standing nearby - nothing was said about them being in the country. Tell me how that isnt racist.

It smacks of the old South Africa, where you were considered a second class citizen if you had one drop of coloured blood in 8 or more generations.

Also please remember that a forum has no colour or nationality. You don't know who you are talking to!

I'll never vote for a party with "Nationalist" in the title. It reminds me far too much of skinheads, racism and generally twattyness.

Especially not Nationalist Socialists, which the BNP are. Remember those history lessons... Nationalist Socialist Germany Workers Party (NAZI), ring any bells.

I think someone is pulling your chain!

We had the same thing - they barricaded our school so much today we couldn't get to the loos without invading the Polling Station :? I even had to dismantle the barricades to get into the Gents, and I wasn't arrested! 8)

This clear anything up for some of you.

Personally I can't believe so many of you are willing to discuss your political beliefs on a public bulletin board.

Especially as some of you have yor place of work and name in the signature.

Out of date but maybe this is a better link.
