Was being diplomatic as there's always going to be one who says "I should be allowed to wear whatever I want and be where ever I want and not be branded the same..."

Anyway, here's something to cheer people up (don't think its even our riots actually but still made me smile) - BOOM

If there were there to riot and steal at least we would know they have a better grasp of the English language, as it is unlikely that they are being ironic by saying they are there to thieve!

During the riots Tottenham had announced that they've signed a new striker.

    'Grabbateli'

1132: BBC reporter at Highbury Magistrates Court John Brain tells BBC 5 live the first person who appeared in the dock this morning was a 31-year-old teacher called Alexis Bailey. She pleaded guilty to being part of the looting of the Richer Sounds store in Croydon.

EDIT: Maybe a man, who knows.

Of course it is over simplifying, I'm not going to sit and do a 20,000 word thesis on the issue. Of course there are other issues, and there are always fringe examples, but some things are blatantly obvious and just need stating.

And to my anonymous neg repper who says "How can you have such a narrow minded view. It can and does happen through no fault of parents!"

The reason I say this? Because parents are to blame for a huge amount of the behaviour of their children. Go back 50 years. How many 8 year olds would have even considered going out onto the streets of the UK looting? You're not going to be using many fingers counting them...

Go back 30 years, how many then? What's the difference between now and then?

well that will do wonders for teaching and discipline in classes.
"sir, why should we listen to you when teachers go looting and smash up shops"

way to put your own personal greed ahead of everything else

A surprising amount of people in jobs are being convicted for their part in this.

I've heard of a Banker, youth worker and others being tried for offences so it's not just angry kids but bloody silly peopl in jobs as well.

    Mob mentality and all that.

I believe people in the cities are doing it purely based on the fact that prices for everyday items are at an all time high, never mind the additional items such as electricals along with it!

In an Asda store in North London it was 88p for a loaf of their own brand cheap bread, no more than 30 miles away it is 46p...If there is such a price difference in the big cities and peoples wages do not reflect this (London Weighting only does so much), then people feel cheated. Some may take the stupid decision to loot, others will stay at home and be safe.

Not much more to add but I will hasten to say anyone who disciplines using "unthinking brute force" deserves to be "brute forced" even more than the rioters.
