At no point am I saying let's shoot to kill a 14 year old regardless of what they may have done...........

All I would say is, if they had the army standing in front of them, with army vehicles surrounding them or the MET with a shield in hand, with squad cars surrounding them (which is obviously having no impact so far) - which one do you think these idiots take more notice of??

The army seem to be fine at filling in for the fire service when they are on strike and how much fire training do you think they actually have!

........I suspect they may well be filling in for teachers next time they decide to strike ha ha!

I will give it a few days before a curfew is firmly in place. Watch this space........

"We haven't got prospects or job or anything to do"
"Lets burn places we could get jobs or do things"

I suppose that sort of logic may explain the lack of jobs.

My old girl's a copper in Leicestershire, she's been told all holiday is cancelled and everybody on rest days aren't allowed to drink or leave the area... it's getting worse I'd assumed it would have blown itself out by now

I'm not sure where I stand on replying the army.. On the one hand it's more bodies and a force trained to fight.

However their training is different with a different objective in mind and it starts on a slippery slope towards the government enforcing things with the military and may lead to an escalation of the issue.

Difficult decisiOn, glad I'm not in government.

Showing the rich what exactly? That they are dumb enough to sh*t on their own doorsteps?

I must say, reading both the Guardian and Daily Mail today, there are far too many Red Sheeple and far too many Blue Sheeple.

Yet more division. Divide and Conquer.

Some people are saying its a 'disengaged' and 'disillusioned' youth, ie. that society ignores or has left behind.

I don't understand this really. How is it society's fault if people don't work hard at school, and work to improve their lives? The mere fact that people are saying that they should be helped out of this hole indicates that they are entitled to something.

Just heard someone shouting 'listen to the black youth' at Boris Johnson. What is that supposed to mean?

I'm guessing the "white man" hasn't listened to the "black youth" and this is what the "black youth" have done to make sure the "white man" listens
(terms used are taken from the above quote and a teacher at my old place who went on about how "the white man still puts us black men down, he doesn't want us rising up")

    More free stuff I suppose?

Give us everything we want and don't you dare make us work for it?

I don't know, are this mythical cohesive group known as the 'black youth' who are obviously unanimous in their desire actually saying anything other than that they want to be listened to?

I'm just really hoping that this doesn't cause other flare ups. It's got the potential to get really nasty if some of the more despicable groups get in on the act, even more so as I suspect people will have a disturbing amount of sympathy with savage vigilante actions.

I tried listening to the Musical Youth if that counts?

All I got was the 'munchies' and carpal tunnel in my left hand
