Sometimes you just have to have an off day on a diet - or at least I find I have to anyway.

When offered biscuits etc. while on my diet I've found that thinking to myself "Do I really want to have to use those calories?" helps; mainly it helps because I'm lazy through and through so the thought of having to use the extra calories is enough to stop me partaking of the evil snacks.

If HE offered it too you as a loyal customer, accept it as a gesture of good will, especially if you have been using him for a while Just next time if you buy something and it comes to say £1.50 and you only have a £2 coin, tell him to keep the change as a gesture of your good will.

For this to work, you'd have to pay for two, but only take one.
