I have two suites to shove in around 60 + machines
The rest is all maintenance and upgrades / imaging and maybe a bit of networking .
im thinking i could get the two suites in within a day .
I done half a suite in 3 hours That included removing old equipment , shoving in new machines , Image them , upgrade ram and rejoin and install WPKG.
Would be nice to have a helper

At least I hope not....otherwise someone at Viglen will be getting a rather irate email, as it was their recommendation!!!

Our HP All-in-Ones don't have a VGA out either, we're using a USB to VGA connection for the one connected to a projector.
Haven't decided what to do this summer, as I'd actually like to have a holiday this year... Going to experiment with some software, have a look at some GPOs, readjust our profiles, but generally keep it interesting. And fix all those niggle little things that have been building up the last few terms.

GAH! Why haven't I noticed WPKG in the past .. that's my new thing for the day and I shall see how well it works for things .. then I could have a standard base image and not worry if all the staff don't need all the software .. etc ..

I have to wonder where the financing for all that came from?

Got a bit of a crazy Summer here, but will away for large swathes of it on honeymoon!
This Summer has been:
2 new IT suites (1 done in term time already though to help)
17 new workstations for Music
4 new Macs for Media
4 new PCs for MFL
7 new Smartboards
New backup NAS to setup
Finish deployment of Office 2010, contine W7 migration
Migrate entire IP range across to new range as we've filled the old
Deploy a repurposed set of SEN laptops
Along with the usual tidying, setup new Y12 users (Y7 done), etc etc. Just me here too
It's all good though, I like being busy and the new equipment is getting a great reaction from staff and students.

The 40 PCs were budgetted for, last year, and there looks like there could be 100+ coming, as well, as part of a consortium bid.
