So... Whats the best way to cancelling Virgin Media services?

I am moving to Swindon in just over a months time. I need to cancel my VirginMedia services.

I am no longer in contract with them (Been with them 13 months).

Anyone got a direct number to cancel or a cancellation address? I need to make sure it cancels before the next 30 day period (3 days).

I have had really bad experiences cancelling before, hence my thread!

    Rob.

I just called them from the number on their website, told them I was moving and needed to cancel, job done. Even got a cheque in the post for the 2 weeks I'd already paid for.

Did you have to wait 30 days notice?

Just ring up and say your moving, and your new location cannot recieve there services. Give them the postocde of some rural village. They can't argue then, the general number is fine.

send a live mongoose to Richard Branson with a note saying "this animal is trained to go straight for the crotch unless my subscription is ended with immediate effect" then list your details so they can process the cancellation

Yes actually they can. They tried to get me onto ADSL through Virgin Media National or ntl National (something like that), I won in the end though - persistence is the key.

Nope it just ran to the date I gave them (about 2 weeks notice) then ended, my contract wasn't even up

They told me I could continue to receive ADSL broadband, I told them I was with them primarily for the fibre optic link and wasn't interested in ADSL - end of conversation...

    Perhaps I just got lucky?
