Yeah, and expect to see FF6 by about September and FF7 by Dec/Jan!
Mozilla have accelerated the dev cycle or FF. a bit like with Chrome (now on V12!)...

I updated/upgraded yesterday and to be honest, I haven't actually seen any difference????

Maybe it's more dependant on the sites?

AFAIK, the only real difference is the option to stop websites from tracking you....

I was surprised by this, I use IE and Firefox, had more issues with firefox since upgraded to V4... maybe its just huge fixes. I am glad some one else said "We not long had V4" thought I was going a wee bit mad.

From what's been mentioned on the *nix mailing lists, it was necessary to close some pretty large security holes...

It's a new stupid numbering scheme, the most stupid aspects of which are extensions assuming they won't work cos the version number is too high, and that FF4 is already EOL and therefore getting no further security updates.

Why they think the number matters, I know not, but so far FF5 seems more broken to me - albeit just that if I close a lot of tabs, the remaining tabs seem to remain static and don't fill the tab bar properly.

AngryTech has his say on the version numbers

Have you noticed the App Tabs though? They look handy. Right click a tab and choose Pin as App
