This was all over twitter and facebook last night, and as much as I respected the guy for the crazy stuff he did (and got paid for) and my sympathies and condolances go to his family and friends, but simply put he was an idiot for speeding, especially in the wet conditions, and preliminary reports said he had alcohol in his system (these need to be substantiated by a proper authority rather than "local" news groups in the US).

    What goes around comes around.
Can't stand idiots like that and all I can be sorry for is the poor passenger. That's before I even take into account the possibility he was drunk when driving.

So far there has been no proof that Ryan was driving, the bodies where that mangeled they are hard to identify. so you cant put all the blame on to Ryan with out knowing the facts. Yes its a great shame to loose those 2 people at such a young age. RIP.

They haven't confirmed anything as of yet because of the severity of the crash. They only identified Ryan because of some of his tattoos and facial hair. It's a tragedy and I feel for the passenger too, especially if Ryan was driving drunk.

Love the Jackass films and Ryan was my second favourite of the crew, I do have sympathy though even if he was drunk because at least he was earning a living and not just living on benefits which most of our country is doing.

I did not provide you with the neg rep but just want to throw my two cents in. Ignoring the fact for the moment that he may have been drink driving, it's still a case of some mothers son died before his time and no doubt his family are suffering a lot of pain. He was an entertainer (despite the fact some people may question the way he did entertain people). Personally I loved watching him go to a doctors with a toy lodged car up his bum. I was in a fit of giggles because that's the kind of entertainment I enjoy and find funny. I'll never understand the whole "Monty Python" thing and find it the most un-entertaining rubbish ever, but again, that's just me.

I'm sure in most cases an element of safety was applied to some of their more larger (and equally stupid) jokes opposed to the lesser (and still just as stupid) stunts like giving yourself papercuts as well as the previous example above, but I don't believe that it should be a case of "He was stupid... oh well."

Add the fact that if he was drink driving (and it wont be known until the relevant blood tests are completed) as well as speeding, it was a very stupid thing that cost him his life and he paid the ultimate price.

Someone dies and all you can say is "What goes around comes around", cold!

He posted up pictures of himself on twitter and facebook with a couple of friends with drinks in hand, just hours before the accident, so I don't think you can get more proof than that,

As said, I have no sympathy at all *for him*. Obviously there are distraught relatives and the poor soul who was a passenger (but obviously was knowingly partaking) but that's not what I posted. He was a prat in life, and apparently being a prat killed him.
It might be cold but frankly what exactly would people expect. No doubt his family would be aware of the stupid things he was doing in life and obviously aware of the danger he often put himself in.

I don't know, I would say a blood alcohol test is more substantial then a picture on Twitter.

Yes, but come on the kind of life he enjoyed, he won't have had just the one.

As I said above the kind of life he enjoyed they would have been alcoholic.

Knowing human nature would you post a picture of yourself on facebook or twitter if it were just a glass of coke?
