I've just the received the following text:
Why did u set the bl**dy alarm?! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?!!!!
My eldest has study leave this morning as she has an A Level exam this afternoon.
I was last of the rest of the family to leave this morning and kind of forgot she was still in bed, so I set the alarm as I left the house. I guess she's awake now!

No, it wasn't on purpose. I genuinely forgot she was still in bed. Somehow, I don't think she'll believe me though!

16th June 2011, 11:57 AM #7 Woke the wife up from night shift the other day by using the Foghorn sound effect on my Squeezebox Boom. She was not amused. Well she did ask for a wake up call.

Just tell her it was a pre-exam revision alarm and that she should be thanking you for thinking about her.

Yes it was the house alarm! She probably only got up to go the bathroom!
@bossman I always only have her best interests at heart

16th June 2011, 12:06 PM #10 Isn't she supposed to be studying before the exam like all of the other teenage students and not lying in bed asleep? She's a disgrace to her generation, a disgrace I tell you

Nah - my daughter wouldn't hear the house alarm either! Worryingly she didn't hear the smoke alarm going off the other day

17th June 2011, 01:14 PM #13 Cats make for effective alarm clocks to get family members out of bed. Especially if they have claws and are hungry.

18th June 2011, 09:15 PM #15 Best one I used to manage was to leave the house for work forgetting eldest was still in bed and double lock the front door from the outside. Only way out then was to jump out of the window with a key and unlock the front door.... . .
