I'm all fixed and on the mend

Not long back from the hospital after an operation to repair an Inguinal Hernia.
Been in since 7am, had the op at 11 and home by 4!!

Now have 4 weeks off work to recover.

Probably going to be a bit uncomfortable for a few days as things heal, but no more pushing bits of me back in every time I cough or sneeze!!

Downside - Not allowed to drive for between 2-3 weeks

Still hoping to make it to the Conf in June, but I may need a lift there and back

I'm sure @EduTech would be available to provide those services for you @Gatt you can ask @TheScarfedOne or @ZeroHour about his abilities as a Chauffeur as he Chauffeured them at the MS event in Reading

    Take it easy

Glad to hear all went well and you are on the mend Gatt.

You are the second person this week I have heard of having this repair - seems to be an ever growing problem.

Glad to hear you're on the mend. Look after yourself and don't try to do too much too soon!

@EduTech, are you going to be staying up there? Im looking to book hotels - and it would make sense for a group of us to club together

@Gatt glad to hear you are on the mend

@john, are we sure recommending @EduTech as a chauffeur is a good idea? I think im still scarred from the hasty exit from the dual carriageway :-o

    Thanks everyone
Had to go back to the hospital as I wasn't passing water
Back home but with a catheter strapped to my leg for the next
Trying to keep a fidgety 4yo away from it isn't - Ouch!!

As for the conference, I was planning to go up and back on the same day.. Though really playing it by ear considering circumstances and all!

All the best for a speedy recovery, and the conf is sitting down all day, so there's no excuse
