RIP John Sullivan
One of the greatest comedy writers of all time has passed, aged only 64 after suffering a short illness
Will be greatly missed - Only Fools and Horses is a feat that will never be repeated and his genius writing was very evident in a program that could combine comedy and drama so well.

I think his writing was at his best with Citizen Smith - absolutely brilliant but I guess some of the younger edugeekers will have no idea what I'm wibbling on about:

Wasn't a fan personally but without doubt it did show a lot of his genius. Well worth a watch if anyone gets a chance.

There were some excellent episodes over the years but I thought his writing bombed with the last three "specials" and that Godawful "Green Green Grass".

to be fair, writing something consistently funny for nearly 30 years is an acheievement in itself.
