to be fair, things like this will only raise the price of it, so the greed of some will have a knock on effect to many. asda will now have to get more fuel in, costing more than they would have expected so will probably pass the price on at the pump.....prompting the people who drained it into cans and containers to complain about how high the price is now

I'm pretty sure that a few grands worth of petrol sold cheaply wouldn't even amount to 1p extra per litre to claw back, not that they'd do that anyway because they'd lose more sales by putting the price up.

Anyway are you telling me that you wouldnt have gone and filled your car up if it happened near you? There was nothing illegal about filling up at that price, it was Asda's mistake. I admit though that people filling up multiple cans etc are a bit greedy

honestly, no i wouldn't have filled up (regardless of the fact i have diesel) unless my car was already at the stage of needing it.

Certainly not illegal. Yet when an individual makes a mistake and suffers for it on a personal level, suddenly they've been wronged and everyone sympathises with them...

I know that the staff at the station were probably on minimum wage, but I can't believe that none of them thought to contact management earlier.

I read it that the station had closed for the night and only the card-operated pumps were open?
