*walks off to the staff room*

Is this the article with the picutre of the photocopier and saying that you should always have a backup plan for when technology lets you down etc?

Hehe, not got it yet but..... will keep my eyes pealed
In last issue one article started 'Support staff are the unsung heroes of education' or words to that effect. Unfortunately it had disappeared before I had time to get a highlighter out and leave it open on that page...![]()
Errrr, no.Is this the article with the picutre of the photocopier and saying that you should always have a backup plan for when technology lets you down etc?

Oh, well in that same mag is an article with a photo of a photocopier and telling teachers to be prepared for when the IWB fails, and that you should do this scarily shocking thing called pick up a text book!!!! yes you read that right, A TEXT BOOK! and open it and use it, and use a white / black board and chalk / pen as required and teach that way. Remember despite redundnat setups sometimes even the best laid plans fail and you cannot rely on stuffing the children in front of a PC screen and say work on X whilst you go off to do "importaint work" IE booking your summer cruse for 5 weeks whilst we are working hard.s
I'll double check the page numbers in the morning.....
Its an article about teachers who have done or do something else beside teach. The article will have a first page of a teacher called Austin Vince riding a motorbike...
