    Helpdesk Solutions? Advice Wanted

    Hello All,

Thought you might be able to help:

I have a client (a college) who want some advice. What would you advise the best helpdesk solution is and why? they don't mind paying for the solution (they are after quality).

I am going to direct them to this page so that they can ask questions in response with your recomendations.

    Thanks in advance.

    Lee

    Spiceworks is excellent.

I also looked into ManageEngine which had a great lifecycle of product system in place, very smart, just costed a bit!

We use Kayako Help Desk Software, Live Chat Software and Customer Service Software and have done for the last 5 years. The program has evolved over the last 6 months and although not perfect currently I still think it's a fantastic tool with intergrated knowledgebase, Desktop Client enabling chat and VNC capability to take over the end user PC.

It's a one off cost and a small annual support cost if you wish to remain receiving updates etc.

We even have a testimonial listed alongside the likes of RSPCA, SEGA etc.

Testimonials from our customers - Kayako

    "ManageEngine ServiceDesk+"

My client are looking at this solution at the moment. Is the feed back all good on it?

OP SmartDesk + Spiceworks - i will advise they take a look at these too.

We're using Zendesk - a bit expensive but a nice look & feel.

I'm a Kayako customer too. The new v4 platform is fantastic.
The desktop app is much improved - live chat, remote assistance and VOIP/SIP functionality built in - amazing for the cost.
