A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Conference...

    I Retired...

If you were at conference at Microsoft yesterday then EduGeek.net made a few announcements one big one was that Shaun is going fulltime but the other one of them was my retirement as an Admin. In April I am taking a new position at Impero.

I am not going anywhere I will still be active member of EduGeek yes that’s rights I will be one of those annoying supplier members.

As said at the conference it has been great working with Admins, Mods and all members here on EduGeek and meeting you all at events like BETT & Conferences. I certainly will miss the day to day stuff of EduGeek.

Once again thank you to all those members over the years I meet and have helped me out.

Anyway hopefully I will be able to answer all your Impero queries that appear here on EduGeek.

Well done Russ. We'll be trialling Impero at our school soon (brown envelope, used, unmarked twenties, please).

congrats - am curious with ref to impero

    1. Can it do software and or hardware audits over the network so it can give you a report on a per computer basis so you can see all the relevant info about each computer on the network

    2. Maybe people on edugeek can get a discounted price for impero lol

Yes Impero does a full hardware (including serial number) and software inventory of every pc on the network for reporting per pc.

Surely as a supplier you should have a fairly big budget for buying EduGeeks drinks. Now you're in the real world, earning a real wage. Defo welcome at BETT as it's the only event I can make.

    Seriously though, no more spam!

    good luck.

If i remember right rules allow me to respond to technical questions on a product but not allow to offer the product up a solution to someone problem. One good thing I know all the rules better go and look at the rules to make sure

Welcome to the jungle ... it'll be good to have someone to sit with Me and James whilst we heckle Mods / Admins.

As for the rules ... they don't employ you yet, you are still an admin ... re-write them quickly
