Just make her sleep in the shed for the night. That will teach her to respect her elders.

Go for PES 2011...or whatever it is these days, and give her a sound 11-0 thrashing!

    That's the best way!

    Dear tech_guy,

It does sound like you have a problem. There are two approaches you can take here - one is to remind yourself that you were just taking it easy on her, since she's a child and can't handle defeat as well as you. This would allow you to feel magnaminous and highly virtuous about the fact that you are clearly inadequate in everything, as demonstrated by your lack of skill in Wii Bowling.

Your second option can be taken to the extreme with ritual suicide, or if you lack the guts for that you do have the option of selling all of your electronics, any other property, and becoming a hermit or monk (dependent upon belief) until your shame is forgotten by the world at large.

    Love,
    Agony Uncle

    Like that's EVER gonna happen!

In fact....we could start a "What's the most embarrassing defeat you've suffered at the hands of a child" thread!

Tech Guy can go first !!!

I think a few of us from the MSFT event need one now! No-one should have to see or hear about the things we did last night and this morning! @EduTech lol! Who on the forums would make the best Agony Aunt or Uncle then? Poll?

I think that ZeroHour, as the newly appointed EduGeek Partner should take on the role

No, it has to be one of the girls, surely?

Us blokes can be rather lacking at the whole empathy and advice thing - see the responses to @tech_guy above if you need evidence :-)

Although it has to be said, @Little-Miss you weren't exactly being sympathetic!!

Well I'm not going to be sympathetic, I've just played golf and was dreadful! So am going through the I'm never playing again, all my clubs are going on Ebay, my golf shoes in the wheely bin and why did I ever bother taking it up in the first place. Thankfully I wasn't playing against a seven year old GIRL! Oooh starting to feel better already.

I will take on the position.

I am good with dishing out advice but not taking it, so feel free to PM me with any problems you have (non-technical please, as that's what the forum is for), and I will do my best to advise you. I will reply with 24 hours (depending on workload and personal life).

    Sound good?

Oh yeah - I can do that - Cv, life, witch'll sort it! But I warn you - I don't go down the 'poor you' route - more the 'tough love - pull yourself together - do THIS' style of life coaching....
