Edugeek user's Twitter names
Hi,
I hgave decided to give this whole Twitter thing a go and was wondering who used it and if you find it useful. I want to be able to use it as a network purely for my ICT work etc. If anyone uses it like this I would greatly appriciate any advice.
Thanks,

Anyhooooo....I just use it to keep up with friends, spy on celebs and pick up news about my Superhoops (QPR!)
It's a bit egocentric...I mean....Who really wants to know what I'M doing, in 140 characters!

to begin with then you just get "Why is #egypt still trending?" or "WTF is #egypt for?"

14th February 2011, 01:53 PM #7 Find decent client (I use free version of hootsuite - HootSuite - Social Media Dashboard for Teams using Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin). As others said use lists. Also twitter never works if you have 5 or 6 followers. The real power of twitter is once you get lot of followers and you are following lot of people then can use to get information etc.
Also in terms of hashtags find weekly hashtags to do with your interest (where people meet online once a week) or generic ones to do with your interest. So if a parent and male then #DadsTalking is good one to follow. Education there are number including #ukedChat.

I still haven't worked those out yet! Wold help as I tend to use Twitter for IM when out and about. Careful what you put up too, I keep finding sites like Amplicate or 123People spying on Twitter feeds to try divulge personal information or trends.
