    What's wrong with it? What's it doing or not doing?

    I had a borked Doc file, open and repair didn't do anything. I tried the open text from file command, at least managed to get the contents of the file.

    How to recover text from any files by using the "Recover Text from Any File" converter of Word

    I don't know whether PP has something similar?

    Does PP leave tmp files littered everywhere like Word does? More often than not they're how I save borked documents for users.

    @Hightower:

    Its usually a picture that has been inserted into the PPT which becomes corrupted.

    How big is the file and can you send it to me?

    Will have a go at recovering (many hands make light work)

    You have my e-mail address?

    If not PM me
