I bought the missus a spa day a few years back, and thought heck if I'm going to pay for someone to go with her I might as well go myself and enjoy it! And, on the whole I did! Very relaxing!

We've done quite a few now, usually get a sports or swedish massage while i'm at it.

How old are you? If you're the 'right' side of 35 then may I suggest:
Adventure, Sports, Social Leisure Group | Meet people and make friends. - Spice UK National Office
I did fire-eating & fire-walking with them. It sure beat doing anything else.
If you're over 35 then may I suggest joining the ramblers....

It's not just for you youngun's, anyone can join as long as they're fairly active. There are a few events just for the Under 40's, but otherwise any age is welcome.

Adult Education classes are a good way to learn something new.
I am currently learning photoshop, ok I could get a book but its easier to learn something by asking also. I have done a sailing theory course and OH is currently doing signlanguage classes.

We've just taken up mountain biking, ties in nicely with the camper van.....there are loads of tracks and trails all over the country...found that it can be quite exhilerating, gets addictive with the accessories that can be bought though /

Cheeky s*d. I learned to scuba dive at 45 - it's quite expensive but excellent to do with the missus (unless she can't navigate at 25m, in which case you may end up leaving her down there).

And the great thing is that you don't have to talk to each other lol.

Orange wednesday - cinema and pizza express. Pub quiz. Theatre tickets are cheaper midweek.
Me and my family are members at our local cricket club, so summer is sorted, but in the winter we have a cricket club darts team, with matches held on friday nights. We all tend to congregate in our local pub on a saturday so there's always someone to chat to.
