Do you work for a living? If so, then surely you would be working class?

I don't just want to go on a definition quoting rampage, but perhaps it might be a good idea to see what one source defines them as to encourage debate I think the definition and the boundaries between classes is blurred, it's difficult to pigeon hole a person under one specific class.

    Middle class

The socioeconomic class between the working class and the upper class, usually including professionals, highly skilled laborers, and lower and middle management.
A top-class doctor or surgeon, for example.

    Working class

The socioeconomic class consisting of people who work for wages, especially low wages, including unskilled and semiskilled laborers and their families.
From shop workers to school support staff, maybe?

This test seems odd. Make a fake email up and put in some details that might not be not true like well under 30years old, have a fully paid off house with zero mortgage and something crazy like 50k in savings. Pretty impressive I would say for an under 30 year old. Then the end result you get is “Your financial resources are about the same as the average person in the UK. Find out more below.”

EDIT: To top it off I got a culture rating of 10/100 not bad for someone that’s explored the world and been to many different cultures.

its probably a data harvesting survey so the government can actually see how much we have in savings so know how much more to squeeze us......rest of the survey is probably filler!!

I think WoW is a part issue with my 20/100 culture score... and lack of disposable income.

You scored 32/100 for economic capital
You scored 85/100 for social capital
You scored 70/100 for cultural capital

So, I have wide variety of friends and like a wide variety of cultural entertainment, but can't afford to see any of them or partake in any activities. Fun eh?

I'm confused in Your Social Network there are entries for 'Never Worked' and 'Aristocrat/noble'

Is that not the same thing!?

This is article introducing the survey on The One Show last night... if you watch it on iPlayer, the explanation starts about 14 minutes in with a film piece then an interview with a bloke from York Uni who's organised the survey.

When Kate Middleton and Prince whatshisface announced their engagement, they said she was middle class.

If she's middle then I'm lower class.

She's upper middle class IMO, or was until she decided to marry...
