Default Deleting the my computer icon

Pupils decide they want to delete the my computer icon meaning we have to get it back for them. Is there a gp setting that can disable this?

They don't have it at all here. Why would they need it at your school? Just give them shortcuts to MyDocuments and perhaps Recycle Bin and Internet explorer on the desktop. Everything else they can get from shortcuts in the Start Menu.

What about any other mapped drives such as the common area? Thats more icons needed
And pupils USB Drives?

Not having the icon here would mean a more cluttered desktop and pupils moaning

I agree with Sidewinder...if wer had no My Computer icon here there would be tons of shortcuts on the desktop, for the kids to access shared areas and removeable drives and what not.
