120GB USB HDD on eBuyer for £22.99

Ebuyer.com are selling a 120GB portable usb hard drive for £22.99

Brand I've never heard of, but not bad for a basic usb drive.

I've emailed them to ask what's in it but haven't had a response yet.

To be fair, I don't think there are any 'bad' brands of HDD any more, though I know some bad experiences can leave a lasting impression!

It's cheap but would you trust it for backing up important stuff? Wish I knew about it a few days ago as we just bought some 64Gb sticks as a just in-case measure for backups.

Was going to order one for myself but then saw the postage costs.....[ Yes I'm tight ] never mind.
For an extra £10 you can get a 320GB from play:

Seems like a false economy to me. You can get a 1Tb drive for £50 nowadays.

But would you be happy losing a 1TB drive, or the data on it? I think the benefit of these drives is that you're aren't likely to leave much data on them, and they are far more cost effective than a USB stick.

Heck, I might even run it by the boss to see if we can get some. I won't be holding my breath though.
