Some truly entertaining shows to me at least that you may or may not have heard of. Let me know if you can think of some other gems that i may not have heard of as i love finding new shows.
Misfits - Heroes kind of meets UK chavs
How not to live your life - Top quality British humour
The Walking Dead - Egg from "This Life" in US zombie series, reminds me of "Lost" but with zombies
Peep Show - The don of comedy
The Inbetweeners - Peep show for teens.
The IT Crowd - Need say no more!
Many more cool stuff out there. If you are stuck for a pressie for someone then think of a box set of one of the above.

If you haven't seen it yet, I'm sure there must be a Firefly / Serenity boxset out there by now.

12th December 2010, 09:20 PM #4 Bro Town - is a Kiwi home grown cartoon series.
Has some racial and political under tones but even a non native like me found it side splitting in places.
Unfortunately only found in torrents here and as NZ still runs it's backbone on wet string and 3g hard to find...

12th December 2010, 09:24 PM #5 Misfits - Brilliant! I'd encourage anyone to watch Series 1 Episode 2, it's one of the funniest things I've ever seen!

12th December 2010, 10:52 PM #6 Excellent list, Dalsoth. I agree with every single one. I would also add the following...
- The Office (US) - Easily as good as the British version (at least from season 2 onwards).
- Fringe - The way John Noble plays two completely different versions of himself in separate universes is simply brilliant.

It always annoys me that shows this good get cancelled.

13th December 2010, 10:08 AM #14 I agree with Fringe.
Also would like to add:
Heroes
Flashforward (Yes, even with it only being 1 series)
The Big Bang Theory (any nerds will find this amusing)
Lost
Ice Road Truckers
IRT Deadliest Roads
Okay, maybe other people have different tastes but I'd recommend at least giving them a bash.

13th December 2010, 10:12 AM #15 Las Vegas is a great series too - the last season got cancelled just before the finale, so I'd suggest not starting the last season... the rest of it's amazing though!
