    CCTV with sound

    Looking for an idea of cost for a CCTV unit that also records sound.

    Rough Specs would be;

    For internal use
    Records over IP or own HD (preferably IP)
    In Colour
    With good quality sound
    PoE would be preferable
    Must be discreet when installed and when recording
    System must be expandable in the future if required.
    Not Wireless.
    Records in a format easily replayed on a PC without conversion software.

    The HT is looking into ways to observe teachers\classes during training excercises so it would not be on all the time.

    Anyone suggest a supplier or kit they have used which may be suitable?

    Thanks in advance

    Have a look at Mobotix cameras (MOBOTIX AG - The HiRes Video Company / IP Video Cameras) saw these at BETT last year and was very impressed - not sure if they do sound.

    Axis cameras with free milestone go software as a start allows you up to 8 cameras for free after this the next version essentials allows up to 26 cameras.

    We have used Network Webcams - with these cameras and this recorder, which also works with various makes/models of cameras. Very effective and incredibly useful.
