I've eaten monkey meat in Northern Thailand. I was a guest with the Karen tribes-people on the Burmese border and it would have been rude to refuse.
Was in China a few years ago...I have eaten the following (bare in mind I was only told when I got back to the UK what I had eaten)
Fire ant larvae
and finally Saego (Part of a tree that looks like wall paper paste but is actually quite nice).
I was surprised to find how tasty it all was...
Venison isn't odd! That's nice! (when I can afford to get it...)
I don't think it's odd, but, as Lab tech I often have to get liver, kidney and hearts from tesco for the kids to dissect. Any left over get taken home and eaten, much to the disgust of the kids. They're especially squeamish about the hearts...
Worked in the kitchens for KFC during my students days many many years ago and the ones I worked in were very good and kept the kitchens run very well. Can't say it's the same in all of them as they're a franchise operation but they do all get randomly inspected from head office.
It's the little one man band places you really need to be careful of unless you know they have good rep.
Soo, weird stuff I've eaten: horse steaks, Bretton Fricase (don't ever be tempted, there are things floating in it you really don't want to see again in your life)
I had raw zebra fillet with garlic once - very nice, if a little chewy. Worst thing I've ever tried is Mopane Worms, which are large, dried, orange & black caterpillars. They taste like your old swimming towel smells when you've left it in a plastic bag for a week, i.e. disgusting.
Pleased to see I’m not the only one with a peculiar penchants for culinary exploration! Aside from the moderately usual- Boar, Ostrich, Kangaroo, Goat, I've tried a few off the wall (in some cases literally!):

Reindeer Pate (not as good as you'd hope I’m afraid to say)
Think that’s about it... though my brother has said he's got something special and edible for me for Xmas, what worried me was he said this after seeing the rancid canned Herring on Q.I the other night...
The most revolting that I've tried has to be fermented shark in Iceland (country not the supermarket)... I was served with three 3 cubes the size of sugar lumps and it smelled and tasted disgusting - I only ate the tiniest bit of one cube!
I'm willing to try most things: ostrich, crocodile, kangaroo, kudu, impala, frogs legs, snails, raw shellfish, offal of all types... have all been enjoyed!
Barracuda in the Dominican republic.......Little did i know that the meat of this fish is quite toxic.It feeds on algae called ciguetera that live on coral reef. I spent 2 days in the room with blurred vision and numb, errrrrrm, appendages shall we say. Great holiday though!

Had a fillet of shark from a fish and chip shop in Oz and blue grenadier ( another fish ) same fish and chip shop - wouldn't say they were weird, really enjoyed eating those. Wish I could have more of that
Also Octopus and Calamari rings ( squid rings deep fried ) - yummy

Probably not the strangest thing I've ever eaten but the dumbest thing I've ever eaten / done back in the late eighties was when I spent a year traveling around the world and it was to ingest the secretions that contain bufotenin that are found in certain amphibians....the guy who put me up to it (we were both amazingly drunk at the time) is now a very prominent and respected lawyer in the City of London. Every time we meet up we have a good laugh about it. One of those incredibly stupid things you do when you're young...
