What was it last week, month, year?

It will be. I've got a fair few shares in them from previous involvement with parts of Game. The only way is up for the gaming market however with more of it going digital download, it could be a risky move.

profits down and down: supermarkets, online stores and digital downloads have been the big contributors.
Lots of staff and nearly 700 stores, could all go wrong.

I tried the 'buy my own shares' route, but it was a pain in the backside. A couple of years ago I set up a Shares ISA which is managed by an account manager for a small commission. The shares took a hit during the start of the crash and all, but have been doing good in the past 12 months. I lost a lot of money in the crash but have since made that back with things slowly picking up.
I just started a 5 year stock related one - quite low risk as if the market does not improve I won't have lost anything, I just get my money back. If however it does well I get about 27% interest on my sum which would be nice. I haven't told my kids the outcome will mean they go to Uni or not........![]()
Lordy - remember this thread anyone ?

Hightower, do you have any information on buying shares etc? Been wondering how it all works, especially managing it yourself.

No, I'm probably not the best person to ask for that sort of advice. What I do is pay a set amount of money into a shares ISA account every month. I took the high risk option, and a manager takes care of where the money goes etc. I've had the account for around 3 or 4 years, and although I took a big big hit at the start of the recession, I was advised to continue paying in and now they are back at about level pegging.
I basically look at it like another savings account, but thats as far as my knowledge goes on the matter.
Rather than throw your money away, can I have it please?
Sorry am I wrong here or is it not £70?
At least thats the way I read google finance-
