Changes on SKY HD - BBC One HD

JFI the old BBC HD on Ch143 is now carrying BBC One in HD. This means any series links or recordings set for the old BBC HD are now up the swannie and need re-doing - e.g SCD tonight and tomorrrow!

Also, their is a new BBC HD channel on 169 so any BBC2 progs you used to record on BBC HD instead will also need re-recording/series linking.

    regards

    Simon

All our recordings are working fine on Virgin so far ... I half expected to have to go round and fix the planned recordings but it seems fine. Bizarre.

I imagine on Virgin (and assuming old BBC HD was on say ch100 and BBC1 is on 001 and BBC2 is on 002 - and new BBC One HD is on ch100 and new BBC HD is on ch200 - no idea just for demo), that if they are now feeding ch100 with BBC One HD then your old ch100 recording times are going to match up practically 100% with any BBC1 progs you decided to record on ch100 instead of ch001.

But in that case, any BBC2 progs that you chose to record on ch100 instead of ch002 are going to be problematical and will need to be reset to record on ch200 from now on.

    Just my guess

PS The reason I found out about this was I was checking my SKY box for tonights recording and saw that SCD wasn't down to record (and neither was tomorrows results show)! So it looks like SKY decided it was too complicated to handle and just ditched all recordings (or at the very least - deleted them from showing in the planner)

As an ex-BBC engineer, I would have been held personally responsible, by the female house members, for this catastrophy!
