He's been eating Smurfs and had an accident!
Why am I not surprised that it was an OKI printer....
Managed to get my hands covered in ink on Monday. Took an unhealthy (hides from the H+S police) dose of graffiti remover and about 3 days of scrubbing every chance I got to get rid.
From the state of my hands and clothes, and the surrounding area, it looked like I had been doing open heart surgery on the printer.....
Better still, we use a house system at this school, the house colour for the house he is in is blue! House mascotthat.......is......hilarious......
lucky its children in need today so he can say he came dressed as a smurf
I once had a bit of a mishap when planning a timed reboot of one of our servers... I have a batch file that uses the sleep utility and net send to send warning messages around the network before using the shutdown command to reboot. Unfortunately I'd forgotten that the sleep utility wasn't installed on the server I wanted to reboot, so it rebooted a bit quicker than expected!
Managed to lock myself out of a cisco switch once and had to get someone from the other side of the world to get into it and 'unlock it'
That was embarrassing.
Done the reboot instaed of logging off many times (unfortunately).
A cracker I did just last year was, we were clearing out some old network cabling out of some switch cab and went to cut a tie wrap with some cutters. Yep cut through the network cables instead(on ladders, full stretch, round the back of the patch panel). Killed that section of the network for a few hours!
Have you noticed that you somehow just know that you are pressing the wrong keys/it says are you sure and it shouldn't, yet you still press ok?
You hear this voice in your head scream NNNOOOOO!
but you just can't stop yourself from doing it.
Our technician also had an unfortunate incident with the cyan toner in an OKI printer. His new name became Avatar or Papa Smurf thereafter
Sadly, no photos
