    DrCheese - you do sound a bit light but my son is 6ft 1in and only a few pounds heavier - he looks very slim but not skinny - how do you look?
    As for putting on muscle - the running and cycling should have done that for your legs.
    Google how to build muscle without joining a gym. Basically you are using your own bodyweight as resistance. This site looks quite good:

    After not going to weigh in last week (clash with adoption training) we went on Tuesday. We had had a pretty naughty could of days last week and over the weekend, partly due to family being around and partly due to wanting a bit of a breather, and we were both surprised to still have lost weight. My wife knocked off another 4 1/2 lbs and I lost 2 1/2. I am now under 16 stone for the first time in 4 years.

    I am giving it another fortnight and then I am going to have to get some replacement clothes too.

    Weigh-in tonight ... and we have discovered how difficult it is to stick with it over half-term. Wifey put some on and I maintained where I was.

    I was, however, surprised to be met with a big smile by our club co-ordinator as we signed in (before weigh-in) and was presented with the Slimmer of the Month certificate and sticker. Turns out Wifey was a very close second ... still, it has been a prod up the back-side that we need to be careful during holiday periods.

    Another 3lbs lost this week, really chuffed :-)
    Amazed when I took some measurements, 4" off waist, 5" off chest and most importantly as I suffer from Sleep Apnoea I've lost 2.5" off my neck

    Big grin on my face, cleared out the wardrobe of clothes yesterday that no longer fit because they are TOO BIG!!!! First time in my life I've done that, it's always been getting rid of stuff that was too small before, it's a great feeling. Dropped off 2 big bin liners full at the charity shop after work today

    Well done you - I have started my 'no crap before Christmas' regime - 3 days of very restricted calories to kick start the process and then just being good.
    There is NOTHING worse than a cold January day with Christmas behind you, nothing to look forward to and several extra pounds hanging around your hips....

    right just had my annual workplace health appraisal.. Doing a lot better than 2010 but not back to 2009 levels in terms of weight.

    Heres my last 3 years stats in case anyone wants a nosey :P

    If anyone could help me plot those figures into some nice trend graphs would be great!)

    I haven't dared get on the scales in the last couple of weeks. Excessive hobnob consumption due to inspections and insufficient gym visits. Back to the gym tomorrow... I think I'm going to find it hard work.
