    I've always found VNC to be slow over the internet. But maybe that's just me.
    The /console switch only works on Windows 2003 server.

    What about using something like LOGMEIN.COM. I only used it a couple of times but it worked really well. Basic service was free when I tried it.

    don't say your last post outloud we don't want the LAs blocking access to this somehow. I use it all the time, in fact its great for days like this when it is sunny. I can stay at home and work he he!!!

    The /console switch works fine connecting from my xp pro laptop to my xp pro desktop. But I have the latest update for MSTSC.

    Eh? why do you need that switch as you limited to one session in XP anyway i.e. you take over the console session if you use MSTSC.

    Why not give logmein a go?

    For the schools we have problems connecting to using VNC, logmein does the trick.
