    Good winter or bad winter?

Well, the temperature has dropped in the past week here in the UK and autumn has defiantely gripped us good and sure, with the first widespread frosts due this weekend. So will we have a repeat of this?

Or something a bit milder this time? Baring in mind the Met Ofice predicted a mild winter last time around!

    oooo pretty.

We've been making bets in my local on the likely hood of a white christmas in Hereford.
It's been so very close that past two years..

Our tortoise was still racing round the garden only a few days ago. I think he'll be in hibernation very soon judging by the weather forecast. Stiff Northerlies on the way. Possibility of snow in Scotland! Brrrr!

I love that satelitte image, got the hi-res version printed as a poster.
I did like the snow, love a proper winter rather than dull & drissle. May have to change my car for something 4wd if it continues though, it was a nightmare last year.

I also hope not. I hate driving in snow, and this time round I'll be doing the nursery run with daughter..talk about 100x more stress there. Plus last winter cost me £900 in heating.

Going to swap my car for a landrover defender. Im not getting stranded again.

The weather is only going to get worse, after all, heat is energy. We are heating up the atmosphere so putting more energy into the weather system. It is all to be expected. Just wait until the gulf stream stops and we run out of oil. We are well and truly screwed!

I hope it gets that cold again, 4 wheel drive is a must and so funny laughing at the other people stuck in the half inch of snow.

You won't have to wait that long - the current lot of clowns in Parliment will see to that.......

There is an old county saying that lots of fruit in the hedgerows means a hard winter. At the moment there is a lot of fruit in the hedgerows.
