That footage from the top of the capsule as it is hauled up is scary. And I hope these guys are looked after properly and not exploited. Properly managed, they could all make a fortune and not have to work ever again. It'd be horrible to see them get ripped off by some Chilean equivalent of that slime Simon Cowell.

    My thoughts too.

As I watch the footage, who are those people standing around? The old guys? You can bet your bottom dollar all the big wigs ie the mine owner and managers are there, to show their support on tv.

The people who will get sued are there for photo ops, and will probably want to attend the above state dinner. They are covering their posteriors...

Why did they go mining with those fancy sunglasses?

The rescue effort was fantastic and thank god they all got out safe and well.

Just amazing with that little capsule plus the extra men that actually went down the shaft to co-ordinate things from the bottom as well.

I watched 30 and 31 come up this morning.

We got to that stage, and thought that having got that far we might as well stay up for the last 2 miners. I couldn't hold out for the rescuers though, and we turned in at 2:35am. It was amazing to see, I just can't believe how smoothly it all went!

Shattered now, and trying to get enough coffee down me to function!
