    Charging your mobile at work...

    I plugged my phone in to charge it up this morning as I'd forgotten to do it last night. Am I alone it feeling just a little bit guilty in doing this as isn't it technically theft of electricity from your employer?

    Do you use your personal phone for work? If so I wouldn't worry about it.

    I, much like the rest of my department often plug our phones in...

    If you need to be contacted quickly - do they ring your mobile? If so, theres your reason...

    Isn't working through your lunch hour technically theft of your time? Yet I bet your employer wouldn't bat an eyelid if it happened.

    Me thinks you're lucky not to have more pressing concerns!

    I've thought long and hard about this, and I reached the following conclusion...

    bu&&er it.

    My iPaq is currently plugged into the USB port, charging merrily. It's never really occured to me - technically, a USB pen also uses electricity - does that mean I'm thieving from my employer when I plug it in?

    Ooooooh Noooooooooooooooooo........ooooooooooooooo!

    I just accidentally clicked on a BBC link that was completely unrelated to work, and the head phoned up asking me to return that bit of internet I stole.

    Oh, and that just silly. They should have just said "trousers down, bend over the table, it's time for a spanking boy" when you started.

    Yes, but surely it's like them saying "jamesfed, we're a bit tight up this month, and we can only afford to pay all but 1 member of staff. that 1 member of staff is you james" with a prompt reply of "thats fine by me"
