W3Schools Online Web Tutorials is a fantastic resource for all your web development fundamentals with tutorials in all the most common web languages, definitely worth a look

EDIT: just a pointer, start with the HTML tutorial, then have a think about where you'd like to expand from there, that'll help you decide which language to look at next

  3. Thanks to LosOjos from:

I agree, W3Schools to learn the fundamentals.

Looking in to Joomla! for websites is also worth a look. A different way of web development but very powerful development tool.

Edugeek project's has it's own Joomla setup. It really depends on your needs. I would start with W3 Schools as you will learn a lot with HTML/CSS while Joomla is more just clicking and the package creates the pages for you but is a good CMS tool.
