Term time since I started in 2003. Currently working to get full time but it seems they're reluctant to find the funds.

Re: Who works term time only? How many full time?

"The Powers That Be"... They came back with a point on scale 2 (one below Sc3) which would mean I'd have to do a whole lot more to get onto Sc3 in the future; which isn't that far up anyway

So yes, bossman does have a lot to do during the hols but in the past I've come in during the hols to help out. But it's a PITA to have to tell admin how many days I've been in, then wait until up to 2 months to get the remuneration for it

Full time - holidays are for server upgrades, rearranging the network cabinet, chucking accumulated junk and enjoying the peace and quiet.

I used to be term-time only, but then they realised that they were paying me overtime pretty much every school holiday so moved me to full time....

I supose I should have added that.

Pay scale: H9, with no overtime paid and no increments left. Only movement possible now: M1 (Management scale) Or perhaps motorway of the same name, northbound!

Re: Who works term time only? How many full time?

I am fulltime 37 hours per week and I am entitled to 27 days per year, but generally work most days at home if I ever am off.

The technician here is term time only 37 hours per week but can be asked to come in if required during the holidays.

37 hours week term time only.... do alot more than that since the network manager has been working from home.

Scale 3 when this job re-structuring thing sorts it self out. prob wont get much more.

Re: Who works term time only? How many full time?

I do 36 hours a week during term time. During the holidays it varies slighty and I have a weird verbal contract. They basically said you are only paid for term time but you need to do whatever work needs doing over the holidays and they'll pay me overtime. This pretty much means i'm working about five or six hours a day mon - fri during the holidays with the occasional day off if I feel like it and time allows.

I get paid on the lower end of scale three.
