I fall by the intermédaire from EdTech on an excellent English site named Edugeek, which contains resources (in technical matter) useful in the field of education.
The leading article of today relates to the policies Open Source of several countries of the Third World and the Commonwealth. I already wrote on this subject. Not only the Open Source constitutes (probably) an economy on the level of the data-processing expenditure of the administrations, but before all it is average a rapid and effective to create an industry of excellence in France in the field of the software (France, contrary to all that one can read here or there, does not have any tradition nor competence in this field - I speak as a nation, it exists of course, here or there, of excellent counterexamples).
Companies as Skype are direct repercussions of the Estonian policies Open Source. Tony Blair also took excellent measures in Great Britain in "forcing" the massive swing of the data processing of the communities and the administrations towards the Open Source.
I remain dismayed by the weak comprehension of the stakes by the policies, whether it is at the national level or in my area.
See my ticket "Skype: the result of an Open policy national Source"and its conclusion:the Open Source benefits the country (with the area, at the city) which makes use of it!

if someone can give us a better translation then go ahead...

I'm more than happy for our overseas collegues to dive in. I monitor Google quite a bit and have noticed that we are now mentioned on 6 pages of searched on Google.com. Nice.

I didn't technically rip them off... I always include the source of the article and a link to the origional. If I can get a link to their logo that is also included but ZDNet hide their logo somewhere far far away beneath layers of scripts and HTML.
