I'm not sure that "same height as your laptop" is at all ergonomically designed! I'd certainly have concerns if I was DSE assessing such a setup, the monitor looks to be far too low.
At least the pink one has a good security feature... nobody in their right mind would want to nick one of those!

Ha ha......the pink one didn't go down well here at all to be honest!
Agreed on the height issue as well. Thanks Steve.

Style wise, they look rather nice. Again, forgetting the horrible pink one.
I think they're pretty decent. However, I much prefer Samsung's offering: experience expansion on every level - LD190G - LCD Monitor - Monitor | SAMSUNG
My friend has one and I borrowed it whilst he holidayed abroad for a month and I liked it. The screen is glossy, sleek-looking and very bright. It helped me to play games on one screen and 'work' on the other.
Something I would worth consider having if you're a multi-tasker type-esque.
i quiet like them to be honest, not sure on how safe they will be with regards to there framed stand thats all

If I am going to have a second screen attached to my laptop then it is usually a fair bit bigger than my laptop screen (I do this at work and home) with my laptop on a stand and an external keyboard and mouse.
Not too bothered about pink (though I do like the blue and green), I do like the general feel of them, they just need to be on a better mounting and larger if they are to be used as a second monitor.

How's the weight distributed? Is the bottom edge "grippy"? They look very easy to knock over / clip the corner and send flying compared to a conventional tft with a weighted base.

if its designed as a 2nd laptop screen surely one thats the same size as your laptops would be better as ive found dual screens better when they match and ok the 18.?" isnt that far off my laptops 17" but most laptops are 15-16ish. Now i know you can do odd sizes (at home ive got a 32" and a 19" i sometimes pair and have paired a 15.4 laptop with 17/19" screens before ) but its just easier if they match or dragging a window from one to the other can be odd

maybe if they were sitting on top of a sky box with the safe knowledge that they couldnt be knocked down, then yes. they look like they would be good, but the only way for me to be certain would be to trial it, any chance chris?

ha ha......well if I get a pink one in then I will send it your way Nephilim! But yes, I agree the knocking over aspect is a bit of a worry to say the least.
I also agree with Chuckster the Samsung offering is pretty slick and I also like the blue LG one like Grumbledook!
Chris
On the knocking over front, we've just taken delivery of some Dell Inspiron One 19, an all in one that has a photo frame type stand. They're actually pretty sturdy, although we're looking at some VESA monitor arms because we still don't think they're high enough even with the bit at the bottom.

Purple!
I think they look quite good but the best thing is the address for LG - can I move to Yoido-dong, Youngdungpo-gu? Sounds much more fun than Queen's Gate :-)
