WTF just happened to the weather?

Ok .. so, there I was, rerouting cables (teachers wanting computer desks moving in their classrooms for more convenience, which is fair enough I guess) and it was nice and sunny outside (well, a bit overcast, but generally sunny) ..

It started to drizzle a bit, no biggy, but then FLASH > BANG .. some lightening and thunder followed by a torrential downpour .. that's still going .. the yards look like swimming pools!

    Summer's officially here obviously!

Hehe, it sounds like our weather (Torrential rain and thunderstorms hit Aberdeen - Evening Express) has come to you (all sunny here today)

Have a look here for near real time lightning strikes, sorry, it doesn't reach all of the way up Scotland.

I blame the organisers of the Huddersfield Food and Drink Festival - organising an outdoor beer festival was just asking for it to pee down for the duration!
